{A wedding organised by the groom… in secret!}

Today’s Big Day is actually kind of a *little* day… with a great big heart. Seen on Green Wedding Shoes, this lovely couple got engaged over the Xmas holidays… and were married a mere 4 days later (a surprise Christmas Eve event, kept secret from the bride by her family). The photog, Jamie Delaine  (a family friend) was in on the secret – setting up the ‘engagement session’ that turned into a wedding ceremony.

What I really love about this wedding? How happy, relaxed and natural the ‘surprise’ bride looks. It’s a brave man who treads on sacred ‘bridal planning’ territory… But, just goes to show – in the end – all you need for a great wedding is 2 people who love each other.

This was the moment the photographer ‘persuaded’ the bride to hang out with her brother outside the chapel (the  venue for the ‘engagement session’) while her family waited inside ‘because of the cold’… with the groom. Suspicious? Hmmmm…

And this is what greeted her as she went inside to call them all out… awesome.
